The Young and the Restless Alum Donny Boaz Discusses Latest Project

Though he’s no longer knee-deep in police investigations on The Young and the Restless as Chance Chancellor, Donny Boaz isn’t hurting for work. He has a new movie making its streaming premiere, and he took to social media to tell his fans all about it.

Donny Boaz’s Latest Project

According to the actor, When We Last Spoke, a film which he worked on “last year” has been uploaded to UpTV as of Sunday, April 4. Boaz went on to say that he had been “very happy” during the project’s production, and he revealed that “this was one of Cloris Leachman’s last films in her long and illustrious career.”

When We Last Spoke is described as a coming-of-age story featuring two young girls who are abandoned by their father and foisted upon their unsuspecting grandmother.

In addition to Boaz and Leachman, the flick stars Melissa Gilbert – of Little House on the  Prairie fame – and Corbin Bernsen. To daytime devotees, Bernsen is probably best known for playing Father Todd Williams on The Young and the Restless, though he has had roles on General Hospital (ex-John Durant) and Ryan’s Hope (ex-Ken Graham) as well as the fact that he’s the son of YR’s beloved Jeanne Cooper (ex-Katherine Chancellor).

After cutting his acting teeth on several episodes of All My Children and Guiding Light, Boaz, a former model, successfully auditioned for several small screen efforts, including the made-for-TV movies CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story and Road less traveled, as well as episodes of Dallas, NCIS: New Orleans, and Lucifer.

Between November 8, 2019 and February 1, 2021, he played YR’s Chance Chancellor, a character born and raised onscreen from 1988 to 2001 and subsequently embodied by John Driscoll (2009-2011).

During his tenure with the soap, Boaz was paired opposite Melissa Ordway’s character Abby Newman, and together they birthed a popular super couple.

Be sure to check out Boaz’s full Instagram post, which has been added below. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
