It hasn’t escaped The Young and the Restless fans’ attention that Rey Rosales has been spending more time with Chelsea Lawson — the woman who tried to kill him — than with his wife, Sharon Rosales. Is something more brewing between the pals?
The Young and the Restless Polling
Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) is giving Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) parenting advice, and even volunteering to take precious Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to a hockey game when neither his mom nor dad are available, and the idea of disappointing the dear child is inconceivable. Meanwhile, Sharon (Sharon Case) is serving coffee, doing freelance counseling, and spending way more time thinking about her grown children’s love lives than can be considered healthy. So is Rey falling for Chelsea?
Ranking System
We can’t blame him, 55% of the audience sighs. Rey feels completely neglected by Sharon, while Chelsea hangs on his every word like he isn’t just spouting banalities. Sharon never asks Rey for advice. She thinks she’s got it all figured out. Chelsea, on the other hand, has the damsel in distress act down. Of course he feels more needed — and more valued — with her. And that’s just the first step to falling in love.
Acting Out on The Young and the Restless
It doesn’t matter what Rey is feeling, 29% of you insist, he’s too upstanding of a guy to act on his feelings. Remember when he felt drawn to Sharon, but clung tightly to his wedding vows to Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez)? It’s the same thing here. Only in reverse.
Nice Guy
And then there are the 16% of fans who are clinging to the belief that Rey is just being nice. He was raised by a single mom, and he sees Chelsea struggling with the same issues. He’s trying to be helpful. And fill the dead time while Sharon is busy elsewhere.
