Nikki Newman is losing her nerve when it comes to her husband Victor Newman’s plan to bring their prodigal daughter back into the fold on The Young and the Restless. Nikki suggested that maybe Victoria Newman wouldn’t be chomping at the bit so hard to get away from her family and join forces with the man who lied to her nonstop for over a year if Victor didn’t insist on treating the fortysomething mother of three as a child.
Young and the Restless Polling
Nope, Victor dismissed. Victoria is a child. She’s his child. And as long as she keeps acting like one and not listening to him, he is going to keep treating her like one. You got that? Should Victor consider hearing what his wife has to say, instead?
Mother-Daughter Day
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) has spent a lot more time recently with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) than Victor (Eric Braeden) has. She understands their daughter in a way Victor simply can’t. Which is why 53% of you voted yes, absolutely. Listen to Nikki, Victor. She’s got insights you can’t even being to imagine.
The Young and the Restless: Right as Rain
Victor may have made himself a millionaire through sheer will and force of personality, but 32% think Nikki is still the smarter one when it comes to interpersonal relationships. She is right about Victoria, and Victor is wrong. So take a lesson!
Hard Times
Only 15% believe that Victor is correct in taking the tough love approach with Victoria. After all, he didn’t become a successful businessman by going soft. The most important thing here is to protect the family name, the family company, and the family’s reputation. If Victor’s tactics end up alienating Victoria forever, well, that’s just the cost of doing business. If Nikki doesn’t understand that, then she’s the soft one, and she’s the one who should be taking a lesson.
