Y&R spoilers just keep showing Phyllis growing more and more demented in front of viewers’ eyes. Now that her fake alibi has gone underground again, it seems like all Heather has left in her defense arsenal is a Not-Guilty-By-Reason-of-Insanity defense. Which is what she decides to go for.
After all, most of Genoa City can testify that Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is off her rocker, including Phyllis’s son, Daniel (Michael Graziadei). Heather (Vail Bloom) ends up saving Phyllis’s butt with her last-minute maneuver. Alas, our favorite psycho won’t see it that way.
As she’s carted off in a straight jacket, foaming at the mouth (more than usual), Phyllis will be screaming that this is all Heather and Daniel’s fault. Also, Diane’s (Susan Walters), duh. But mostly Heather and Daniel’s. She’ll make them pay! She’ll make them all pay!
Phyllis doesn’t know how yet. That is, until, in her new home, Phyllis runs into…Daisy. Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) daughter…and Lucy’s biological mother. How awesome is this? It’s like the universe doesn’t hate Phyllis, after all!
Before you can say, “sleeping with and/or blackmailing her doctor,” Phyllis is out of the looney bin. And new pal Daisy right along with her. They’ll come sweeping back into Genoa City, and Phyllis will make a big show of the gift she is giving her beloved granddaughter: “Look, Lucy-kins, Gramma has found your real mommy for you. Aren’t you totes grateful?”
And if someone like, oh, say, Daniel or Heather objects, Phyllis will turn on the waterworks. “How dare you? How DARE you? Not only am I telling the truth, like you hypocrites were constantly telling me to do before, but I am also making amends. Daniel, I lied to you about your biological father. And then I let you think that I, your beloved mother, was dead. I would never want Lucy to suffer such pain. That’s why I introduced her to Daisy. My motive was the purest. How can you suggest anything otherwise? Oh, woe is me. Woe, woe, woe is me. Ungrateful children, no matter how I suffer for your happiness.” And so on and so forth. Think this wild speculation could really happen? Let us know in the comments section below.
