Y&R spoilers tease that Victoria Newman seems determined to marry Ashland Locke despite all the obvious signs she shouldn’t. While Nikki Newman wants her daughter to think of her own happiness, Victor Newman seems fine with Victoria placing Newman Enterprises above her personal life. As usual, Victoria seems poised to follow her father.
Y&R Spoilers Wild Speculation
It seems Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will marry Ashland (Richard Burgi) even though he’s lied to her repeatedly throughout their short courtship — but why? We envision Victoria going through with the ceremony, and then shortly after revealing that she’s pregnant. Sure, we know it may be a long shot, but it could still happen.
A pregnancy could go several ways for Victoria and Ashland. It might strengthen their bond. After all, Ashland recently learned that he’s not little Harrison’s (Kellen Enriquez) father. Perhaps he’d love to know that his new wife is having his baby.
What if she finally realizes that she doesn’t know Ashland at all, and she files for divorce regardless of what it might mean for Newman Enterprises? We think a divorce between these two could end up nasty, given Ashland’s previous divorce from Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner). But there could be drama if she decides to have the baby.
A High-Risk Pregnancy Could Have Serious Implications
Given Victoria’s age, her pregnancy would be treated as high risk. That means she might need to go to more appointments and doctors will keep a careful watch on her. Plus, she’d need to have maternity leave, which could leave a vacancy in the CEO position in the short term.
It’s unclear what type of parental leave Newman Enterprises offers, but the company certainly needs somebody at the helm if its CEO has a baby and needs a few months off work. This situation brings up several intriguing possibilities.
All In The Family At Newman Enterprises
Perhaps Y&R spoilers will end up teasing that Victor (Eric Braeden) would step in for the few months his daughter needs. As it did in the past, Victor returning from retirement could cause problems with his relationship with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and increase his stress levels.
However, Victoria also has a number of siblings who could step up. Unfortunately for Newman, Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) seems too wrapped up in her son to step back in at the family business. So that leaves Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Surprisingly, Victoria and Adam seem to have buried the hatchet — at least partly. As for Nick, they’re on the outs, but we doubt that will last long. Of course, Nick doesn’t want anything to do with Newman Enterprises, but he’d do it for Vick.
