Y&R spoilers have teased that Devon Hamilton has gone from just agreeing to be Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor and Chance Chancellor’s sperm donor, to being their backup babysitter, to asking for visitation, to asking for joint custody, to Amanda Sinclair wondering if he’s going to go for full custody next.

Y&R Spoilers Speculation

Why is he so determined to get more and more legal rights to little Dominic? What if it’s because Devon (Bryton James) knows he’s not the tot’s father?

Young and the Restless: Blood Will Tell

Devon isn’t stupid. He’s also a guy who leaves little to chance (ha, pun; we didn’t mean it). We can’t believe that when Dominic was first diagnosed with his mystery illness and a bone marrow transplant was prescribed, Devon didn’t get right on the Internet — like all of us do these days — and look up his son’s odds of surviving, as well as the odds of them finding a donor.

While web surfing, Devon must have come across information that indicated parents are rarely perfect match donors. At best, they are a 50% match. It’s much more statistically likely for a total stranger to be a 100% match, than a biological parent.

Y&R Spoilers: Match Game

As soon as he was deemed a perfect match, Devon must have known he wasn’t Dominic’s birth father. Whether it was a mix-up at the lab, or whether Abby (Melissa Ordway) was so nervous the artificial insemination wouldn’t take that she arranged for a backup donor, isn’t the point. Dominic isn’t Devon’s.

If he admits it to Abby, he’ll never see the tot again. Better to get all his legal rights now, then come clean. The Chancellors love claiming kids who aren’t theirs. Remember how Kay Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) battled Jill Foster (Jess Walton) for Phillip the 3rd’s affection? This could be the sequel! Think this wild speculation will come true?
