The Y&R spoilers show no hints of Deacon Sharpe returning to Genoa City. However, since he’s in Los Angeles on The Bold and the Beautiful, we speculate it’s just a matter of time before his daughter, Hope Spencer, wises up and sends him packing, which might mean he’ll need to head for cooler weather.
Y&R Spoilers Wild Speculation: Deacon Sharpe Returns
It’s been a while since Deacon (Sean Kanan) shook things up in Genoa City. However, given that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is single and looking to mingle (maybe), we think that Deacon could be just the person to throw an unexpected wrench in the almost inevitable reunion between her and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Of course, if Phyllis isn’t game to spark a love connection with Deacon, perhaps Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) could use a bit of a blast from her past. These days she’s relegated to the life of a meddling busybody with no actual storyline of her own. So perhaps Deacon’s return could be just the thing to shake things up and get Nikki into a big juicy storyline.
After all, Nikki’s last big adventure was the J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) storyline. In that arc, he ended up being alive after all the months of Nikki, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Phyllis, and Sharon (Sharon Case) spent covering up what they thought was his death.
A Good Villain is Hard to Find
Right now, Y&R spoilers don’t tease any good villain stories. Sure, with the holidays coming up, we know the soap likes to focus on wholesome family moments. However, the last villain, Stitch Rayburn (Sean Carrigan), quickly left the storyline, and Genoa City is left without a big-time baddie to stir up trouble. But, of course, we never honestly bought Stitch as a big baddie anyway.
Who knows? Maybe if we wish hard enough, Deacon could even return with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), even though he distanced himself from her in Los Angeles in a bid to win a place in Hope (Annika Noelle) and Brooke Logan’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) lives. Think Deacon should return to Genoa City? Let us know in the comments section below.
