Y&R spoilers tease Claire’s backstory seems super secretive — and super intriguing. Many fans wonder who she really is and where she really came from. We think we’ve found the answer! If we’re right, there’s a very good reason she wants to get close to Nikki.

Could it be that Claire (Hayley Erin) is related to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and should be calling her Nana instead of Mrs. Newman? It sure seems like a possibility in our eyes. How? Why, you ask. Hear us out.
The Forgotten Child
With Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) growing up before our eyes, it doesn’t seem possible, right? Wrong. Nikki has a third child that she doesn’t seem to think about much. One who she only had in her life for a few years before he was whisked away to witness protection — Dylan McAvoy!
What if Claire is Dylan’s child? We don’t know a whole heck of a lot before he showed up in town and turned Nikki and Paul’s (Doug Davidson) lives upside down. He could very well have fathered a child in all those years.
Who do we think her mother is? Well, Avery, of course! Dylan grew up in the same town as Avery and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and he and the younger sister have a past. One that includes a previous pregnancy. While it’s said Avery miscarried that baby, what if she didn’t?

Welcome To The Family
This could definitely change the game for Nikki and the rest of the Newmans. Claire would give Nikki a much-needed connection to her son, put a family member of Paul’s back on the canvas, and give Phyllis a niece to dote on.
