Y&R Spoilers Wild Speculation: Adam Rescues NE From Ashland Locke

Ashland Locke has certainly gotten in good with Victoria Newman. Y&R spoilers tease they are merging companies and merging lives. All while Ashland is supposedly dying. He is getting his hands on a whole lot of Newman assets in his final days. We don’t think he’s even sick, though, and his scheme will not be secret for very long.

We can picture it now, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) realizing his sister’s soon-to-be husband is a faking faker. A suspicion here, a phone call there, maybe even a little bribe to an easily bought doc, and boom, Adam will have the truth. The question is, what will he do with it?

Y&R: Adam Protects The Newman Assets

It looks like anyone with suspicions will voice them. As will anyone who has any doubts about Ashland (Richard Burgi). Let’s face it, Genoa City is full of over-opinionated people. The difference is, no one will believe Adam. Not with his history as the family screwup. Victoria will pass his accusations off as jealousy and even Victor will tell him to back off.

Thankfully, Adam does the exact opposite of getting out of the way. He steps into the line of fire and goes all out to protect his father’s company. He stages a secret mission for a hostile take over and pulls of the sneakiest and most underhanded corporate acquisition of all time, and all before the merger is complete.

Okay, so Y&R spoilers hint that he loses out on Ashland’s assets. That’s not the most ideal but it’s par for rat course. Plus, that’s a sacrifice Adam is willing to take. All he wants is to protect his father’s legacy.

Adam Newman Destroys Ashland Locke’s Secret Scheme

While it seems like it would be easy for Adam to come off as the bad guy, this could be his road to redemption. He sneaks away with NE just as Ashland and Victoria take their vows. The Lockeness Monster announces the truth, he’s not dying and the prenup means he owns everything, muh-ha-ha!

Ashland stands there with his chest puffed out all proud of himself. He scammed them all and now he’s the big winner. Lap it up, buddy. That plan falls apart when Adam shows up. He announces Newman Media is now the proud owner of Newman Enterprise. Game, set, match.
