Young and the Restless: First Among Equals

Once upon a time, Traci (Beth Maitland) was the shy, poor, little rich girl in love from afar with the glamorous rock star Danny Romalatti. Not only did she eventually get to meet Danny. But Danny stepped up to marry her when Traci got pregnant by her college professor and tried to commit suicide over it. Traci lost the baby, and the marriage ended. Which means this couple never had a real chance. Maybe now is finally their time.

Y&R: The Worst Idea

But that won’t happen if Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) has her way. Did you see how she was looking at Danny while he was tickling the ivories? First, she whined to him about how nobody loves her. Nobody will forgive her. Why is she the most put-upon person in Genoa City? In Wisconsin? In America? In the world? Danny does love playing hero. (See: Marrying Traci, above.) And Phyllis absolutely adores being the damsel in distress.

Y&R Spoilers: Unfinished Business

All we can do is keep our fingers and toes crossed that Danny has learned his lesson and that he will never, ever let Phyllis play him again. We all know why he’s really in town. Danny heard that Paul (Doug Davidson) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) were having marital problems, and now he’s back to try and win back the one that got away. Danny and Christine would still be married if it weren’t for Phyllis. That’s why we can’t imagine him ever giving Daniel’s mother a second glance. Danny wants Christine. And Danny is here to get her.
