Oh, no! Harrison Locke has a fever! And we don’t need Y&R spoilers to know it isn’t just a cold or flu, which means Kyle Abbott and Summer Newman Abbott will need to learn that parenting isn’t just cute photos, love coupons, and fun in the sun family vacations.
It’s also whiny, clingy kids waking you up multiple times in the middle of the night to throw up into your lap. But this isn’t a cold or flu. This is whatever soap-opera mystery illness always requires a bone marrow transplant. You know, like the one his cousin Dominic had a year or so ago. And since that is obviously the case. Who will prove the match that will save wee Harrison’s life?
Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is the obvious candidate. What better way to make sure that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will have to suck it up and be nice to the woman who is the only chance her daughter’s stepson has?
We suppose it’s too much to hope for that Harrison’s (Kellen Enriquez) sickness and desperate straits would remind Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Summer (Allison Lanier) that the boy does have a mother. And if Kyle and Summer have been keeping Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) away from Harrison up to now, they soon won’t have a choice in the matter.
How interesting would it be if not a single Abbott or Diane was a genetic match for Harrison? Why? Because he was never Kyle’s, to begin with. Tara switched the paternity tests because she gambled she’d be better off with Kyle on her side than Ashland Locke. Now Kyle will be left without a leg to stand on.
OK, here us out: Phyllis is Harrison’s only match! She’ll be ecstatic. That’ll show Diane, once and for all, who the best mother in Genoa City is! Phyllis will selflessly donate bone marrow to save her nemesis’s grandson. Because she’s a giver.
And why/how is Phyllis a match for Harrison? Random coincidence wouldn’t be nearly soapy enough. It’s because Phyllis’s son, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei), is the one who is actually Harrison’s biological father! What, Kyle honestly thought he was the only boy toy Tara was hooking up with? Get over yourself, Kyle!
