Y&R spoilers are making it hard for us to figure out how Victor’s big, brilliant plan is supposed to work. He is faking senility in order to find out which of his kids will betray him first by believing he is actually going senile. (As if such a thing could ever happen to the great Victor Newman?)
But has Victor (Eric Braeden), for a moment, considered the possibility that, once the truth comes out, one or all of his kids could be so furious at his lies that they will decide to actually betray him? And, if so, we think we know who it will be.
Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) was the first one to put two and two together. He came storming over to Victor’s, complaining that Victoria (Amelia Heinle) didn’t deserve this. Adam (Mark Grossman), sure, but not Vick. He was angry. Angry enough to strike back?
Adam called a doctor to talk about Victor, not out of malice but because he was truly concerned. But once Adam discovers that Victor was plotting all along to weaponize his concern against him, he might revert back to the old, darker Adam. The one willing to do anything to seek revenge and make himself feel better. Sure, it never worked. He never felt better. But old habits die hard. And Adam only has one trick for his pony.
Abby (Melissa Ordway) has no reason to betray Victor professionally. She doesn’t want his company. She has her restaurant and a baby daddy plenty rich enough to provide for her and Dominic. But if she finds out her dad was manipulating the children who love him — that is, if news of Victor’s “condition” ever trickles down to her — she may decide to channel her inner Newman and show him that even she should be a child worth fearing.
But no matter how much Nick and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) deny it, the ones Victor should really be fearing are Victoria and Nate (Sean Dominic). They’re both ambitious, both angry, and both entitled. They wanted to betray Victor from the start. Once they find out it was all part of his plot, then they’ll really want to go after him!
