Y&R Spoilers Speculation: Victor Newman Double-Crosses Summer

Y&R spoilers reveal that Summer is running out of allies. Her own brother refuses to see that their mom is an innocent victim. Her own husband thinks Phyllis should pay for her crimes. The police are no help. And Michael told Summer to tone down the hysterics…he’s immune. That left only one man to ride to the rescue, Summer’s beloved Grandpa Victor.

Y&R Spoilers Speculation

Victor (Eric Braeden) wasn’t thrilled about helping Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). He made it clear that he thought it would be better for everyone if she just kept her distance from Genoa City. But Summer’s (Allison Lanier) tears worked better on Victor than they did on Michael (Christian Le Blanc). Summer reminded Victor that he might not love Phyllis but he loved her. He would be helping her out, not just Phyllis, by using his endless resources to track down the man who helped Phyllis fake her death. So Victor reluctantly agreed.

Young and the Restless: Yes and No

Victor finally agreed and said he would get right to it. But Victor has been known to lie before. Like…all the time. Victor has never been particularly fond of Phyllis. But he has a particularly good reason to want her out of sight. Because Phyllis is a walking reminder of the time Victor had Jack (Peter Bergman) kidnapped and replaced with a lookalike. Phyllis was married to Jack at the time. Which means Victor paid a guy to rape Phyllis repeatedly. And he never suffered any consequences for that.

Y&R Spoilers: Forget About It

The quicker Phyllis is forgotten in Genoa City, the quicker Victor’s actions can also be swept under the rug. So would you really put it past Victor to assure Summer he’s doing his best to bring her Mommy home…while actually doing the exact opposite?
