Y&R spoilers appear to be going where viewers have been expecting them to go for ages: Sharon and Chance will be over almost before they’ve begun. And the reasons are also ones we’ve been expecting for ages.
Y&R Spoilers Speculation
Sharon (Sharon Case) is a grown-up. She’s a mother. She’s a grandmother. Sharon doesn’t have time to play stupid games. And she certainly doesn’t have time to engage with stupid people. Sharon has needed to put up with Phyllis’s (Michelle Stafford) nonsense for decades. She does not need to go down that road again with Summer (Allison Lanier). Sharon can see how Summer is looking at Chance (Conner Floyd). And, honestly, she doesn’t need the drama. If Summer wants Chance, she can have him.
Every Road Leads Back To You
But there’s another reason for Sharon to be so blasé, outside of Summer. Sharon can be so blasé about Chance because Sharon is back in Nicholas’s (Joshua Morrow) orbit. And Sharon knows what happens whenever she gets back into Nicholas’s orbit. We know it, too.
We’ve lost count of how many times they’ve reunited. But we know we’re in for another ride on that merry-go-round. Sure, Nick claims he loves Sally (Courtney Hope) now. But outside of sex, do they ever talk about anything but Adam (Mark Grossman)? Yeah, that’s not a good sign. That couple isn’t destined for the long haul. And not just because Nick is now back in Sharon’s orbit. Being together will only drive home to Sharon and Nick how inadequate their current relationships are.
Y&R Spoilers: Nothing But Net
We’re not saying that Nick and Sharon will be together for the long haul. That, as they’ve demonstrated, is impossible. Just as it’s impossible for either of them to ever find someone better. So they’re stuck between a rock and a hard place. They can’t live with each other and they can’t live without each other. They’ve used up all the clichés. And are ready to coin some new ones. Together.
