Could this be what's going on with Phyllis Summers?
Y&R spoilers have been teasing Phyllis spiraling out of control for months. We’ve tried to figure out why. We’ve tried to speculate as to why. We’ve tried to just accept and enjoy it. None of that has worked. Which is why, in order to make any of this make sense, we’ve come up with the wildest speculation yet!
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is insane. But she’s not crazy. Phyllis does what’s best for Phyllis. Phyllis does not self-destruct. Which is what she seems to be doing now, working with Jeremy (James Hyde). Unless…this is all yet another devious plot on Phyllis’s part. Phyllis isn’t scheming with Jeremy to destroy Diane. Well, she is, but not in the way Jeremy thinks.
Phyllis is letting Jeremy believe that is leading Diane (Susan Walters) right into his trap. Only to then pull the rug out from under him at the last minute and ride to Diane’s rescue!
Why? So that she can play hero, of course! Can you imagine the mouthfuls of crow Jack (Peter Bergman), Kyle (Michael Mealor), Summer (Allison Lenier), and, most importantly, Diane herself will need to eat once Phyllis saves Diane from the evil Jeremy’s clutches?
The Abbotts will need to spend the rest of their days bowing down before Phyllis and singing her praises. They will never be able to say a bad word against her. And, boy, will Diane be peeved!
We don’t recognize this unhinged, out-of-control Phyllis. But an unhinged Phyllis who is using that to control and manipulate people? That’s the Phyllis we first met when she came to Genoa City. And that’s the one we’re expecting to rear her head and roar again!
