Y&R spoilers have made it clear that Nate is planning a very quick rise up the Newman Enterprises corporate ladder. But anyone with eyeballs can see that Nikki has Nate’s number. And that she isn’t going to stand by and just let him manipulate her daughter…and force her son out of his own father’s company. Nikki will fight Nate every step of the way. And here’s how she’ll do it.
Sure, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) will start delicately. She’ll simply speak to Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Maybe remind her of Ashland (Robert Newman) and how he just played her like a fiddle oh, so recently. Maybe Victoria isn’t the best judge of character? At the very least, maybe she shouldn’t mix business with pleasure quite so often.
When that doesn’t work — and we know that will never work — Nikki can go to Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) and urge him to fight back. She can even back him against Victoria’s insistence that Nick takes a leave of absence. Now! Nikki can also block Victoria from appointing Nate (Sean Dominic) anything. She can be on the up and up, totally professional.
And when that also doesn’t work, Nikki can do what Nikki does best. Nikki can scheme. Sure, she can ask Victor (Eric Braeden) for his input. But, you know Victor. And Nikki definitely knows Victor. She knows that he husband will just go charging in, huffing and puffing and breaking furniture.
He’ll be a bull in a china shop. And this requires a more subtle approach. (In addition, Nikki knows Victor is a raging misogynist, and if he finds out his daughter has been played again, he’s likely to fire her for good. And Nikki doesn’t want that to happen, either.)
Instead, Nikki will do what Nikki does best. Nikki will seduce Nate. Oh, we don’t mean the full-out affair. Nikki is so good, all she’ll need to do is convince Nate that she is interested in him, and should he return her interest, he’ll be rewarded far more than he ever could be with Victoria. Nate will dump the daughter for the mother in a second…and then Nikki will have all the proof she needs to oust him for good.
