Y&R Spoilers Speculation: Mamie Will Do This With Her Shares

Y&R spoilers tease that Lily and Devon’s mysterious investor turned out to be their own Aunt Mamie. She confessed as much to her other nephew, Nate, and now everybody knows — including Jill. Since she seems to only be passing through Genoa City, what will Mamie decide to do with her new shares in Chancellor-Winters?

Sure, it would be nice if the family worked together for a change. Devon (Bryton James), Lily (Christel Khalil), Nate (Sean Dominic), and Mamie (Veronica Redd) could make their corporate decisions together. Do what’s best for everyone, instead of everyone being out for themselves. Sure, Jill (Jess Walton) won’t be happy at getting cut out. But, at least she knows Devon and Lily don’t hate her, which is more than can be said for Mamie.

Nate Hastings: Favorite Son

The fact that Mamie confided in Nate first suggests that he’s her favorite. Which is why it would like her to give him her proxy. Mamie can go back to traveling around the world and let Nate deal with the day-to-day infighting. Nate felt like Devon and Lily didn’t give him enough respect when he was working for them. Now, they can learn what it’s like to feel left out.

But more likely, Mamie will demand a seat on the board. The one right next to Jill. She should disagree with every proposal Jill makes, challenge her every time she opens her mouth, and put together her own changes — each one more outrageous than the next. This will be fun. John (Jerry Douglas) would approve. And if he doesn’t, what can he do? At least Mamie knows she’ll have Jack (Peter Bergman), Ashley (Eileen Davidson), and Traci (Beth Maitland) in her corner.
