Y&R spoilers suggested that Kyle Abbott wants no part of Victor Newman’s plan to sabotage Adam Newman’s position at Jabot. Kyle said as much to Summer Newman Abbott. But then Jack Abbott yelled at his son about even considering it. And Adam came in smirking about pulling the rug out from under Kyle and Victor’s plan.

We know how Kyle is. He has the impulse control of a sugar-hyped toddler. What are the odds that he’ll change his mind, and decide to partner with Victor, after all? He has three very good reasons for doing so.
Young & Restless: Family Loyalty
Even though Summer (Allison Lanier) didn’t want Kyle (Michael Mealor) working with her grandfather, Kyle is still stupidly capable of convincing himself that he is doing this for Summer. She was so great about playing mommy to Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez). And she’s been trying to be great about Kyle wanting Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) in his life. Kyle will tell himself that he is paying Summer back for her love and loyalty by siding with her family over his. And, that way, he won’t have to admit that he just wants to, because he’s pissed off at Jack.
Y&R Spoilers: Tough Love
Kyle is used to Jack only praising his every move. Mostly out of guilt for Kyle’s screwed-up childhood. So when Jack got angry with Kyle instead of telling him how great he is, Kyle didn’t know how to react. He decided to rebel like the spoiled child he is. And what better way to rebel than by taking the side of Jack’s enemy? Especially since Daddy told him not to.

I Want It My Way
Kyle didn’t want Jack and Diane to reunite. Jack and Diane did it anyway. Kyle pouted. How dare his parents now follow Kyle’s wishes? He’ll show them! He’ll show them he’s the smartest guy in the room! When Kyle first returned to Genoa City, he schemed with Victor against Jack. Now he’ll do it again! That’ll show ’em!
