Ever since Diane Jenkins returned to The Young and the Restless, all we’ve heard from Ashley Abbott, Nikki Newman, Victor Newman, and, especially, Phyllis Summers, is that Kyle Abbott’s no longer late mother is the evilest evil that has ever eviled.
Y&R Spoilers Speculation
Which is why we were rather stunned when Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell) reminded Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) that Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) broke up their marriage, lied about Daniel Romalotti’s (Michael Graziadei) paternity and, oh, yeah, tried to kill Christine – more than once.
So someone in Genoa City actually remembers that Phyllis has done as much, if not more, damage than Diane (Susan Walters) ever has? And could that person be the one who helps Diane bring down her self-declared greatest enemy?
At the moment, Diane just wants Phyllis to leave her alone. Christine, on the other hand, wants revenge. As she told Danny, she can’t help wondering what her life might have been like if Phyllis had never bulldozed her way into it.
Christine can’t have that – short of a a Marvel “What If…” parallel universe episode – but she can get rid of Phyllis now, in a way she never got a chance to do while the redhead was tormenting her. Chris has no particular loyalty to Diane. But she could use Diane as an excuse to do to Phyllis what Christine has always wanted to do.
Y&R Spoilers: Legal Means
So far, Diane has been playing defense with Phyllis. Summer Newman Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) mother accuses Diane of something nefarious, and Diane defends. But what if Christine could help Diane go on the offensive?
Sure, Diane has committed some crimes. But so has Phyllis. And who better than Christine to dig those up…and make it so that Phyllis finally pays for her lifetime of sins? Christine could be the secret weapon Diane didn’t know she needed!
