Y&R spoilers are strongly suggesting that Diane Jenkins is causing trouble. Could that trouble be the thing that breaks up Kyle Abbott and Summer Newman — where blackmail, runaway brides, an illegitimate child, and a far-flung job opportunity couldn’t? Here’s how she’s going to do it.
Y&R Spoilers: The Other Mother
Summer’s (Allison Lanier) mother absolutely goes bug-eyed crazy at the sight of Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) mother. And when Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) goes bug-eyed crazy, she demands that everyone who professes to love her loses their minds alongside her. If Summer doesn’t tell Kyle to cut Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) out of his life for good, well then, she’s no daughter of hers!
Who does Summer love more, her husband or her mother? And there is only one right answer to this question, 60% of you remind.
It’s Up To You
This isn’t up to Summer. It’s up to Kyle, 35% of the audience counters. Kyle is the one who allowed Diane back into his life, which means Kyle is the one who has the power to calm down Phyllis…and make Summer happy. If Kyle values his marriage, he will do whatever his mother-in-law says. And if he doesn’t, well then, he deserves to lose Summer — and Phyllis.
Together Forever
A pathetic 5% believe that Kyle and Summer are strong enough to survive anything. After all, they know they are destined to be together — once Kyle got over his great love for Lola Rosales, and Summer got over her tendency to run off and sneak back into town wearing big, floppy hats. Their mothers won’t be able to break them up. They are mature, sensible adults. Who depend on their parents for their jobs. And their homes. And their money. But, other than that, they are independent and self-sufficient and destined to weather any storm that might come their way.
