Y&R Spoilers Speculation: Diane Blows Up Jack and Billy’s Truce

Y&R spoilers are showing us a Jack and Billy who are tentatively getting along, running their dad’s company as co-CEOs. But this treaty can’t last, can it? After all, Kyle has already thrown a little fit about why can’t he just step back into his old job, now that working at Newman Media has blown up in his face.

Jack (Peter Bergman) held the line. But Diane (Susan Walters) looked worried that her little boy might be having some sads. Diane didn’t get to be a helicopter mom while Kyle (Michael Mealor) was growing up. Because she was pretending to be dead. So she’s got a lot of time to make up for. And if making her baby happy requires throwing Billy (Jason Thompson) under a bus? Well, then, that’s just a bonus.

Y&R: Break Dance

Jack and Billy have a lot of bad blood between them. Beyond the usual big brother/little brother, Dad always loved you best clichés. There is the minor fact that Billy had an affair with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford)…while she was married to Jack. They like to pretend they’ve moved beyond it. Does anyone actually believe that they’ve moved beyond it?

Y&R Spoilers: Open and Shut Case

That tiny chink in the Abbott armor is exactly what Diane can exploit to put her princeling on the throne. How hard would it be for Diane to turn Jack against Billy? Jack would be so happy that his current wife isn’t sleeping with his brother, that he’d happily listen — and believe — anything she tells him. And if what she tells him is that Billy is hurting the company, well, then.

Young & Restless: Out With the Old

And once Billy is bounced from his position, who, oh, who could step in to help Jack handle the workload? Why, how about Kyle? Surely, no one without the last name Abbott could ever get the job done. And wouldn’t Jack rather work side by side with his son, than with his loser brother?
