Y&R spoilers reveal that Jack Abbott is furious that Jeremy Stark is in town, and by everything she says, Diane Jenkins is beside herself with worry. However, we (well, some of us) think her nervousness could be an act.
Y&R Spoilers Speculation: Teaming Up
Diane (Susan Walters) has appreciated using her worry over Jeremy (James Hyde) showing up in Genoa City to get closer to Jack (Peter Bergman). Amid her supposed terror, she even manages to rub Phyllis Summers’s (Michelle Stafford) nose in the whole thing.
However, some of this feels awfully convenient. Diane returned to Genoa City after more than a decade just a few short months before Jeremy got released from prison, and suddenly, after many times of promising she’d told Jack everything, there’s this big amount of money she “owes” the convict. Not surprisingly at all, Jack offered to pay Jeremy the money to make him go away, but Diane declined…at first.
However, we could see this whole thing being a long con between Jeremy and Diane (and maybe even throw in a wee bit of Tucker McCall [Trevor St. John] into the mix) because the timing is all a bit too on the nose. We suspect that Diane and Jeremy see Jack and perhaps even Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) as easy marks because of how sentimental they are about family. She certainly proved that she cares about herself more than Kyle by faking her own death and missing out on her son’s whole childhood and early adulthood.
Sure, Diane and Jeremy supposedly talked in private in Jack’s office recently, but Diane has been around for a while. She knows that Phyllis might have the whole place bugged with listening devices to bring her down, so they had to keep things realistic. We predict that it won’t be too long before Diane reluctantly accepts Jack’s offer to pay off Jeremy, and then she will end up with him because that was their plan all along — to defraud the Abbotts.
After all, once the feds were onto Jeremy’s smuggling, they had to come up with some way to get back to their former lifestyle once he got out of prison, and her return from the dead offered the perfect solution. What do you think? Will this Y&R spoilers speculation happen for real, or is Diane finally telling the truth? Let us know in the comments below.
