Y&R spoilers tease that things get worse with Abby Chancellor and her baby Dominic before they get better. Devon Hamilton made no bones about how concerned he is about Abby, and we think he may go too far with his worries.
Y&R Spoilers Speculation: Devon Wants To Care For Dominic
Every time somebody asks Devon (Bryton James) how Abby (Melissa Ordway) is doing, he tells them she’s not doing well. Devon is worried about her, and he wants to support her and Dominic.
However, it’s starting to seem like Devon doesn’t think the Chancellor mansion is a good place for Dominic. While he’s the baby’s biological father, he’s certainly not supposed to be his father. However, with Chance gone, it looks as if Devon might feel he needs to step up and father the baby.
Father Knows Best
The problem comes when Devon decides that Abby isn’t mentally able to raise Dominic. Y&R spoilers point out that Abby has plenty of family members available to help. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle), or Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) are available to help her get through this difficult time. Even Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) is ready to move back in to care for Dominic even though nobody (except her) thinks that’s a good idea.
Even so, Devon seems incredibly worried about Dominic. If he somehow thinks that he should keep the baby for a while as Abby deals with her grief, we could see things getting dicey. It could even get to the point that Devon asks his girlfriend, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), to help him. He might ask her to file for temporary custody or even full custody of Dominic.
If Devon tried to battle her in court, it could cause serious issues for Abby and the baby. Plus, it could end up pitting the Newman family against Devon, which might not end well. Ultimately, Devon pulling something like this seems quite out of character for him, especially after he signed the agreement to donate his sperm for Abby’s baby. But it sure looks like it may go that way.
