Y&R Spoilers Speculation: Daniel and Summer Regret Not Worshiping Phyllis

Y&R spoilers excited fans when it looked like Daniel and Summer might stick to their guns and not instantly forgive Phyllis for the nightmare she put them through and how she stomped over their lives without considering the consequences of her actions.

Then Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) threw yet another tantrum, and we could see their resolve beginning to waver. Will these two siblings be back to the status quo in no time…for the sake of family harmony?

Young and the Restless: Mother’s Day

Phyllis may have been banned from most of Daniel’s (Michael Graziadei) childhood, and she may have shared Summer (Allison Lanier) with Nicholas (Joshua Morrow). But, somehow, she still managed to convince both of her children that they were nothing without her.

Nothing else matters if they didn’t have her love and approval. They were willing to break the law and sacrifice their relationships with their partners and children for Phyllis’s happiness. That’s going to be a pretty tough habit to break.

Y&R: Time After Time

Phyllis told Summer and Daniel that she would do anything she had to for them to put her first in their lives again. It might take some time, but she’ll eventually brainwash her son and daughter back into adoration. Summer and Daniel may think they’ve taken a stance. But their determination will likely fall even before the first leaves of summer do.

Y&R Spoilers: Leaps and Bounds

The best we can hope for is maybe some boundaries. Daniel and Summer will still need to consider Phyllis before making any life decisions — like who to fall in love with, where to live, what jobs to take, etc…. However, they don’t have to consider only Phyllis.

Like, Summer is allowed to worry about Harrison (Kellen Enriquez), and Daniel may prioritize Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant). It can go from making Phyllis happy to not making Phyllis unhappy. There’s a lot of wiggle room there. Summer and Daniel should be grateful for their newfound freedom. And never forget how kind Phyllis was to grant it to them.
