Y&R spoilers tell us that Daniel is about to be inundated with family. His dad is back in town, and now his ex is planning to return too, which means daughter Lucy is next. (We’re not counting Mom Phyllis. Unless playing dead, she’s always there.)

Now that Heather (Vail Bloom) is making Genoa City her home again, are we looking at a reunion for her and Daniel (Michael Graziadei)?

Young and the Restless: Remember Me?

Daniel was so sure he and Heather were over that he took up again with teenage love Lily (Christel Khalil). And they seem really happy together. Lily is content to take things one day at a time. She isn’t pressuring Daniel for a commitment, and she’s perfectly comfortable for him to continue co-parenting Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) with Heather. What’s not to love?

Y&R: History Lesson

Except that Daniel and Lily are ancient history. And Heather and Daniel are the ones with modern history on their side. Daniel didn’t leave Heather. She left him. Because he was drinking and raging and being a general downer. But he’s much better now.

If she put up with him when he was at his worst (until she couldn’t take it anymore), then why wouldn’t she want him back now that he’s back at his best? As for Daniel, nobody likes to be the one dumped. He’s got unfinished business…and he needs closure.

Y&R Spoilers: Pick Up the Papers and the Trash

Any Heather and Daniel reconciliation is bound to be messy. He does seem to have genuine feelings for Lily and doesn’t want to hurt her. Plus, Daniel has to be harboring some resentment for Heather leaving him, even if he claims he understands why she felt she had to do it. He’s going to work through both sets of emotions before anything permanent can happen, which is where the mess comes in.
