Y&R spoilers tease that Billy Abbott spirals out of control after losing yet another battle to Victor Newman and Adam Newman. Unfortunately, it looks like “Billy Boy” could be headed for another breakdown.
Y&R Spoilers Speculation: Nikki Picks Billy Up When He Hits Rock Bottom
It’s no secret that Billy (Jason Thompson) is addicted to gambling. So while he’s managed to avoid going to Vegas and playing card games, Billy found a whole new way to gamble — with business. He loves the thrill and rush he gets from taking chances.
After he talked to Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), it became clear that Billy can’t be healthy in Genoa City with his addiction to sparring with Victor (Eric Braeden) and Adam (Mark Grossman) raging unchecked. However, it’s also unlikely he’ll ever leave (and we don’t want him to). Instead, Billy has to figure out another way to get healthy. We speculate (and hope) that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) unexpectedly steps in to help her ex-son-in-law.
Nikki Gets A Storyline and Billy Gets Help
For a while now, Nikki hasn’t had an actual storyline. She’s been relegated to something of a busybody. Recently, Victor made no bones about how much he hates Billy because the younger man was born with a silver spoon (sort of like Victor’s kids…).
Meanwhile, Billy had a redemption storyline where he essentially helped himself. Billy didn’t really have a therapist, and he even split apart for a while as he chewed gum. Then, suddenly, after a bit of time in a secluded cabin, Billy got better. We didn’t buy it then, and we think Y&R spoilers show he still needs real help.
Picture this — Nikki is there when Billy finally admits his addiction is out of control. She knows a thing or two about addiction, and we predict Nikki will sponsor Billy as he works through his issues. After all, he is the father of her grandchildren.
Imagine how much Victor would hate seeing Nikki sponsor “Billy Boy” as part of his addiction program. The situation would add some tension between Victor and Nikki while allowing Billy to work through his problems. We know he got to the point where he felt everybody should simply accept him for who he is.
However, addicts can hurt their families, and we believe Billy will put in the hard work for the sake of his children. So the big question is, can Victor finally give up his vendetta against Billy? Think this speculation could really happen? Let us know in the comments section below.
