Y&R spoilers have made it clear that Audra isn’t done yet with Kyle. She seemed happy enough to kick him to the curb when Nikki gave her an ultimatum: Your job or your sidepiece. But now Tucker has ordered Audra to get back in with the Abbott scion. Audra is doing what she’s told. But what’s in it for her?
No one thinks that Audra (Zuleyka Silver) is in love with Kyle (Michael Mealor). He may have been entertaining enough to toy with when she had no better options. He’s decent looking. And allegedly competent in bed. Plus, it seems like he’ll burst into tears and a full out tantrum the moment he doesn’t get his way. Audra is way, way too smart to hitch her wagon to his star. Unless she knows exactly why she’s doing it. And love ain’t it.
Yes, Kyle is rich. But is any of that money even his? He doesn’t have a job at the moment, and the real fortune is in his dad, Jack’s (Peter Bergman), hands. Kyle is no richer than Noah Newman (Rory Gibson), and Audra didn’t look too broken up over letting that fish slip off the hook. Obviously, she knew she could do better. Which may be Kyle. But it has to be Kyle in a very particular position. (And we don’t mean the Kama Sutra.)
The only way Kyle would be worth anything to Audra is if she (and Tucker [Trevor St. John]) intend to take over Jabot — and Audra needs a puppet emperor to run it with her. Basically, to keep the stockholders happy, Audra and Tucker can put an Abbott on the throne. As long as Audra is the one behind him, pulling all the strings. And the only way to make that happen, is for Kyle to think it’s his idea.
