Y&R spoilers have put viewers through several weeks of severe whiplash. Victoria Newman hates Ashland Locke for lying to her — he’s out of her life! Victoria loves Ashland again and wants a life with him away from her family — he’s back in!
Victoria was only playing Ashland so that she could steal all of his money and get her revenge — he’s out! That last one is where we left things, with Victoria taking the Newman jet back to Genoa City, and Ashland making a “this isn’t over yet, oh, no, it isn’t” face. Victoria thinks there is nothing the man who broke her heart can still do to her. Victoria is oh, oh, so wrong.
Ashland (Robert Newman) had the perfect chance to get revenge on Victoria (Amelia Heinle) for dumping him — the first time — when he could have lied and said he saw her drive poor, dead Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) off the road. He didn’t do that. Instead, he protected Victoria. Bad move, bro.
But, that’s OK. Ashland has something even better to work with now. Victoria, for reasons we can’t quite fathom, thought she was the height of business brilliance when she got Ashland to invest all the money he had left over from her father and brother bribing him to leave her in their brand new business account — and then clicked a button to transfer the funds to her personal account. What’s a genius move!
Except that’s illegal. Ashland can take her to court not just to get his money back, but also to send Victoria to jail. And if Ashland asserts that she was in on this with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), then he can get Victor under oath and force him to testify that he forced Ashland to sign the contract selling his media company to Newman by literally threatening the man’s life. Once that’s out there, Ashland can get his company back, and his money, and Victoria and possibly Victoria will need to serve time. Good move, Vic!
