Y&R spoilers reveal that Mariah and Tessa are so happy right now. They’re in love. They have a beautiful new baby. They have a mom like Sharon who has literally no life whatsoever, so she can drop everything at a moment’s notice and babysit little Aria while her moms get romantic in an overpriced hotel room.

Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) were there when their daughter was born, so they can feel pretty certain that they know who Aria’s biological mother is. But what about her father? Even if the birth mom told them, that doesn’t mean she told them the truth. And why would she lie? Because the truth would throw Mariah and Tessa’s lives into turmoil!

Ian Ward (Ray Wise) is the obvious suspect. Yeah, yeah, yeah, a big plot point about him not being Dylan’s (Steve Burton) father was that he couldn’t father children. Well, guess what? Victor (Eric Braeden) was convinced he couldn’t be the father of Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) baby because he’d had a vasectomy. Ha, ha, meet Victoria (Amelia Heinle). No reason Ian couldn’t go down that same path.

Long-Term Y&R Plan
Ian was both a father figure to Mariah while she was growing up in his cult, and he then tried to force her to marry him in order to claim her money. The point is…dude is twisted. We wouldn’t put it past him to set it up so that his biological child ended up with Mariah and Tessa.
Can’t you see him popping back up, freshly out on parole, and suing for custody of his daughter? Does Mariah want to keep the baby she’s grown so attached to? No problem — she can marry him! Ian is definitely a, if it at first you don’t succeed, try, try again, kind of guy.
