The Y&R spoilers teased the arrival of the Locke family as powerful and have since been revealed to have a pair of agendas. Ashland wanted to find the best buyer for his company, and Tara wanted her baby daddy back.
Ashland (Richard Burgi) sold to Victor (Eric Braeden), but the heart attack Victor almost caused him to die from revealed that Ashland only has six more months left to live. So he and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) are figuring out how to spend that time – both professionally and personally.
Tara (Elizabeth Leiner), meanwhile, told Summer (Hunter King) that if she didn’t leave town, Tara would keep Kyle (Michael Mealor) from Harrison forever. Summer went running to Mommy.
Now that Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is on the job, things can finally get interesting! Phyllis will never let anyone hurt her precious supergirl. And she has a couple of options here.
We can imagine Phyllis seducing Ashland. First, it will upend Victoria’s plans – and Phyllis is always happy to do that. But she can also convince him to fight Tara for custody of Harrison. After all, Tara can’t threaten to keep Kyle from his son if she doesn’t have him either.
This, of course, could throw a monkey wrench in Phyllis’s latest reunion with Nick (Joshua Morrow). But on-again/off-again is on-brand for them. And we figure Phyllis inheriting Ashland’s entire estate when (if?) he drops dead, will cushion the blow. A lot.
Phyllis can use her influence with Jack (Peter Bergman) to convince the Abbotts to take Harrison away from both Tara and Ashland. Throw in Victor (Eric Braeden), who is always happy to show how much pull he has and his indulgence of Summer, and it’s Abbotts and Newman versus Tara.
