The Y&R spoilers for Thursday, September 22, 2022, tease that Summer Newman Abbott and Kyle Abbott will be hit with a major shock…just as they forced their respective mothers to play nice. Plus, Summer’s brother, Noah Newman, pops up to remind us he’s still around.
Kyle (Michael Mealor) thought he could keep a surprise wedding renewal from his always suspicious bride. Turned out he couldn’t. Summer (Allison Lanier) found out, and now she and mom Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) are all excited to dive into party planning. Will the shocking news we’ve been promised involve the menu? The venue? The dress? The guest list?

Could Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) throw a tantrum at being the ring bearer at yet another ceremony he doesn’t understand for yet another parent? Might Harrison’s mama, Tara Locke (Elizabeth Lenier) finally make a return appearance? What about Kyle’s ex-wife, Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle)? Or might Summer run off again? Wouldn’t be the first time. And we can’t imagine the most recent was the last.
Or could the shock, instead, come from Phyllis and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) dropping their barely day-long truce to have the fight they last had in private – where Diane reminded Phyllis she had done some pretty terrible things, too, and Phyllis gloated that she’d finally broken through Diane’s live and let live facade – only now in public. Will there be flying cake? Or will the claws really come out?
Noah (Rory Gibson) wanted to open his own nightclub. Being rich and connected, he had his dream fulfilled within minutes. So now he is ready to open his nightclub. Oh, and also, he and Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) had sex, so they’re a couple now. That’s nice. Maybe Noah will do something about that.
