The Y&R spoilers for Wednesday, May 4, 2022 (also known as Star Wars Day), shoot us off into a galaxy of shock and awe, as Ashland Locke admits he’s been playing the long con, while Diane Jenkins meets the woman in her son’s life, and Victor Newman supports his wife…for a change.
Ashland (Robert Newman) confessed that he’s been faking his cancer to the Newmans, and now it’s time to tell Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). We’re sure Jack will use this opportunity to lecture Ashland about what a bad man he is.
He will also probably announce that, as a result of his badness, he will never be allowed to see Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) again. The same way they’ve cut Harrison off from contact with his mother, they will now do to his father. Because they love Harrison so, so much.
Meanwhile, on the other side of town, Diane (Susan Walters) is begging Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) for another chance. She explains, once again, that she left him because she loved Kyle so, so much and wanted the best life for him.
Kyle refuses to listen. Separating a child from its mother is the worst thing anyone can do. His wife Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) would surely agree. She was taught by her own loving, saintly mother that keeping a child from its parent is evil! (But lying about his paternity as Phyllis Summers [Michelle Stafford] did with her son, Daniel, is totes OK!)
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) has new responsibilities working alongside her daughter. Victor (Eric Braeden) magnanimously allows it. He all but gives Nikki a little pat on the head along with his blessing. Because he’s one of those progressive men, who allows his wife to have a life of her own, as long as she runs it by him first.
