The Y&R spoilers for Wednesday, January 5, 2022, tease Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor saying the last thing Devon Hamilton expects, while Chance Chancellor turns to Rey Rosales for help, and Nick Newman encourages son Noah Newman to pursue an exciting opportunity.
The Y&R Spoilers Highlights
Devon (Bryton James) asked for more time with baby Dominic – in writing. Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Chance (Conner Floyd) were caught off-guard. (Primarily because they had a contract in place to avoid precisely this sort of thing.) But then Chance whimpered to Abby that he doesn’t feel he has the paternal instinct.
He’s not a naturally great dad – like Devon. (He overlooked the part where Devon spent weeks taking care of the baby after Abby went Chance searching. That’s not instinct. That’s figuring stuff out – while you also have a nanny to talk you through the tricky parts.)
Will Abby let Devon know what Chance said, or will she double-down on the ‘this is my baby, mine, mine, mine and you can’t have him’ speech that she gave Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes)? The answer may shock you. It certainly shocks Devon!
Young and the Restless: Cop Talk
Chance is smart enough to understand that he has some serious post-traumatic stress going on, which is keeping him from reconnecting with his wife and son. So he turns to Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), who knows a little something about being undercover, for advice on how to get over it. Fast!

Ever since Noah (Rory Gibson) returned to town, everyone has been acting like their current marketing and art departments are nothing compared to the brilliance of this child.
Everyone is offering him jobs right and left. Nick (Joshua Morrow), who loves to declare how he’s his own man independent of his family now that he’s started his own business with his family’s money, urges Noah to take the job. He can be as independent as Daddy that way!
