The Y&R spoilers for Friday, January 14, 2022, are an avalanche of bad news, as Devon Hamilton moves ahead with his petition to get joint custody of Dominic, even as Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor urges her husband to get professional help. Plus, Adam Newman has some bad news for Chelsea Lawson, who takes it with Chelsea’s particular brand of crazy.
The Y&R Spoilers Highlights
Now that Chance (Conner Floyd) has admitted to Abby (Melissa Ordway) that he is having trouble readjusting to civilian life, especially the husband and father part, she is sensibly suggesting he should see a therapist. (Though, preferably, not one of the crazy ones that have wandered through Genoa City over the decades.)
Will Chance take her advice, or will he grow even more unhinged – especially when he learns what Devon (Bryton James) is planning?
Young and the Restless: Situational Ethics
OK, we’ve got to ask this – as Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) drew up the contract that Devon signed when he agreed to be Abby and Chance’s sperm donor, is it ethical for her to also be the one brainstorming with him about how to break it?
On the one hand, yeah, Amanda’s loyalty should be to her client (that he is also her boyfriend is just a perk), and it was her job to write a contract that she’d then be able to challenge. Abby’s lawyer should have been protecting Abby’s interests and making it so that Amanda left no loopholes.
But, considering this was supposed to be a friendly agreement, doesn’t it feel kind of weird that Amanda is now looking to break it?
Y&R: A Hell of a Town
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) thought her Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) problems were solved when Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) banished Sally to New York. Now, Adam (Mark Grossman) tells Chelsea he’s also going to New York. And now Adam’s problems are just beginning.
