The Y&R spoilers for Friday, December 3, 2021, find Jill Foster Abbott Atkinson in the cat-bird seat as she announces a bidding war for Chance Comm. Ashland Locke and Victoria Newman have already expressed their interest, and Adam Newman tried to strong-arm Jill into selling to Newman Media instead. But they’re all amateurs in a game that the great Victor Newman has not only come to play but to win. You got that?
The Y&R Spoilers Highlights
During the height of COVID, when the soaps weren’t filming, viewers were treated to a blast from the past in the form of the first two episodes of Y&R ever. There, we met ambitious hair-dresser Jill (then played by Brenda Dickinson), who was determined to, one day, live in the lap of luxury. By any means necessary.
Well, that social climber got her wish, moving up man by man until she was an executive at Jabot – complete with 1980s big hair and even bigger shoulder pads and now as the CEO of the company founded by her very first baby daddy. And, along the way, Jill learned that when you have a hot property everybody wants, you let everybody take a crack at it, thus driving up the price. Which is exactly what she’s doing now with Chance Comm.
Young and the Restless: Gimme, Gimme, Gimme
Of course, a bidding war suggests all comers will be invited to make their best offer. But that’s not how Victor (Eric Braeden) wants it. Only the little people pay taxes, and only people who aren’t Victor Newman play by the rules.
Victor makes a preemptive offer, which includes driving his competition out of the game before they’ve even had a chance to get there, and making it clear that he expects Jill to declare him the winner, no matter what. They’re family, aren’t they? His daughter is married to her grandson. Doesn’t that mean anything to her?
