The Y&R spoilers for Tuesday, December 27, 2022, tease a family reminiscing, a father luring his son back into the family business, and a businessman with serious regrets. You won’t want to miss a bit of this exciting episode.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) suffered a big blow when her daughter Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) fired her from Marchetti — the job she actually sold her hotel to take. Sure, Phyllis had ulterior motives — getting dirt on Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and running her out of town — but still, it hurt a lot.
Luckily for Phyllis, her son Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) returned to town with a whole new plan and a new gig at Chancellor-Winters, which gave her a new job practically before she’d cleaned out her desk at Marchetti. Then, her ex, Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian), showed up in Genoa City for the holidays, and Phyllis finds herself alongside her son reminiscing about the good old days (were they really good?) with him. One thing is certain. The merriment is sure to distract her from her woes with Summer, which is just what she needs.
It wasn’t that long ago that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) once again vowed to cut his family out of his life, and he even took a job at Jabot as Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) co-Chief Executive Officer. We’re not quite sure what he’s done at Jabot during his tenure, but that’s neither here nor there.
Recently, Adam went to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to ask a favor — let Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) attend the Newman family holidays with him and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). Victor agreed to it, which must’ve made him feel as if he had an opening to lure his younger son back into his orbit. Victor strategizes to bring Adam back into the fold at Newman, but Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) might have something to say about that.
Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) regrets a business decision. Could it be that he’s realized he never should’ve merged his company with Chancellor to form Chancellor-Winters? Or, perhaps Devon regrets hiring his cousin, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). For sure, Devon was hesitant to have Chancellor-Winters enter an Initial Public Offering. It could be any one of those things, or maybe even all of them.
