The Young and the Restless (YR) spoilers for Wednesday, August 1st jump into a new month with Hilary’s funeral.
Phyllis has something to say, Billy and Jack would rather not talk at all, and Devon learns the truth… and explodes.
Laying To Rest
Devon (Bryton James) attends Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) funeral, along with the rest of the family and Hilary’s friends.
Shauna (Camryn Hamm) remains hostile towards Lily (Christel Khalil), despite Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) warning to keep quiet about what she knows, and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) is there to support his girlfriend (though he also wants her to keep quiet). Devon struggles to keep it together, even around Neil (Kristoff St. John).
Jack (Peter Bergman) was already furious with Billy (Jason Thompson) for not being there to support Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) as Hilary lies dying.
Now, the brothers butt heads again over Jack working with Nick (Joshua Morrow) and possibly buying Fenmore’s away from Jabot.
The men pretend they’re talking business… but they’re really talking about their dad, and of course, about Phyllis.

And Phyllis has had enough. Which leads to an outburst. And an announcement.

Despite Cane’s frantic attempts at damage control, Devon finds out that Lily was to blame for Hilary’s accident.
In fact, it wasn’t an accident at all. Devon’s sister drove through a red light because she was too busy lecturing Hilary about what a horrible mother she’ll make.
And now Devon wants to know only one thing: Did Lily do it on purpose?
Considering she doesn’t remember doing it, odds are that Lily doesn’t think so. But will Devon listen? And how far will he go to avenge his wife and child’s death?
Is this the end of the Hamilton-Winters clan?
