The Young and the Restless recap (YR) for Tuesday, July 31 finds Cane in fixer mode, as he pressures Shauna to keep quiet about what she knows.
Plus, Nick and Phyllis considered working together as Summer played Kyle for dirt on her mom, and Abby wondered what she doesn’t know about Arturo.
Playing Both Sides
Cane (Daniel Goddard) tried to keep Lily (Christel Khalil) from going to see Shauna (Camryn Grimes).
The teen was rude to Lily. While Lily took a call, Shauna noted that it’s all her fault Hilary (Mishael Morgan) is dead – Lily ran the red light. Cane tried to keep Shauna from spilling the beans and ushered Lily out.
Mommie Dearest
Kyle (Michael Mealor) argued with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) about business, and she warned him not to speak with her like that in front of her daughter.
Later, Summer (Hunter King) told Kyle how much he turns her on, and the pair ends up making out.

Kyle spilled that Phyllis had a man in the apartment right after she threw Billy (Jason Thompson) out. Summer suddenly lost interest and Kyle realized she was just using him… again.
Meanwhile, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis talked business. He’s considering buying Fenmore’s, which means they’d be working together. Phyllis told Nick that Kyle saw his clothes, but doesn’t know Nick is the mystery guy.
Nick went home and tells Sharon (Sharon Case) he wants a big wedding. He wants to tell the world this is it, this marriage is actually going to stick!
Getting To Know You
Abby (Melissa Ordway) asked Arturo (Jason Canela) if he’s ever been in love. He admitted he has, but it didn’t work out.
Abby wanted to learn more about him, but Arturo had to run off to work. He wondered if she’s dating him to stick it to her dad. Abby said that’s not her style.
