The Young and the Restless spoilers (YR) breakdown for Thursday, August 9 reveal conspiracies, heartbreak, and deep seeded rage.
Secret Desires
Summer (Hunter King) wants Billy (Jason Thompson) all to herself but she’ll have to get Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) out of the way.
Well, she has a plan for that and turns to Kyle (Michael Mealor) for help. She’s convinced that Jack (Peter Bergman) is her mother’s mystery man and sets a plan in motion to get them alone – on hidden camera.
The cheating trap works to get Jack and Phyllis in the same room, but that’s as far as it goes. Yes, Jack’s still in love with Phyllis but being together isn’t exactly in the cards.
She’s with his brother, and Phyllis is obviously in love with him. In fact, she even pushes him away when he goes in for a kiss.
Still, Summer is so sure her plan works she jumps the gun a little too fast and heads to the office to wine, dine, and rub Billy down — and things go way too far. She sneaks a kiss that’ll leave Billy in shock.
Summer’s Shot Down!
Billy pushes Summer away and set her straight. He’s not having any of her games and makes it clear if she so much as bats her eyelashes at him, he’ll go to Phyllis and spill all!

Over at HW, Neil (Kristoff St. John) takes a stand for Lily (Christel Khalil) but his pleas don’t go very far.
Devon (Bryton James) is still kicking her out and no one can change his mind. He’s furious, bitter, and still stinging from his loss. He wants Lily punished so she’ll hurt just as much as he does.
Neil calls on Nate (Brooks Darnell) to help Devon through his pain. The trio have all lost the loves of their lives in tragedy, and Neil hopes a down-to-earth talk will show Devon that hate isn’t the way to heal.
Get your tissues ready for this scene because it’s a tearjerker!
It looks like Devon may get what he wants. Lily gets shocking news from Michael that’ll rock her entire world!
