At lunch, a forlorn Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is tearing at the seams. She’s unraveling and confesses to Nikki: she is overwhelmed with guilt. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) pleads for her to be strong and accept what’s happened. Do it for the family.

Elsewhere, a concerned Reed visits Victor (Eric Braeden) and wants to know about JT.

Over at The Hamilton-Winters office, Devon (Bryton James) asks Hilary (Mishael Morgan) to respect his boundaries when she tries to talk to him.

Back at lunch, Vicky updates Nikki she plans to take some time off work and focus on herself. It’s music to her mother’s ears. Vicky leaves, and Immediately after, Nikki spies Arturo sitting down for a meal by himself.

In the meantime, Abby comes upon Kyle snooping around the Abbott house. He panics!

Kyle weaves a convincing tale and throws Abby (Melissa Ordway-Gaston) off her game. He asks about Dina’s videos, and Abby updates him on the progress.

Elsewhere, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) puts Arturo on the spot: when she invited him over last night, where was he? Arturo gives Nikki a satisfactory answer, and she invites him to her room for a playdate.

Back at the Ranch, Reed and Victor (Eric Braeden) make a deal. They’ll play a game of chess. Based on how the game goes, Reed can ask him questions or whatnot.

Across town, a confused Vicky pours her heart out to her therapist. /p>

Back at the hotel, Nikki and Arturo descend the stairs. They bask in the afterglow of a midmorning playdate and discuss their next meeting. Eventually, Nikki leaves and her lover returns to the suite to shower.

In the meantime, Victoria continues to unravel. She spills everything to the therapist, short of confessing the murder itself.

However, Reed goes Ballistic and gets violent! In complete denial, Reed lashes at his grandfather. JT would not come back to Genoa City, get back with his mother, work at Newman so that he could infiltrate Victor’s life to search for evidence of criminal activity!

Reed swipes the Chessboard off the table and takes a menacing step toward Victor. The old man helplessly watches. Then, Nikki burst through the door and stops Reed in his tracks. She demands to know why he is towering over Victor like a predator!

At the office, Hilary drops off a small gift to Devon. Busy with a phone call, he doesn’t realize what she left him until it’s too late.

Elsewhere, an emotionally drained Vicky comes home and panics when she realizes JT’s car is gone!

Over at the hotel, Devon storms into the bar, and demands Hilary give him answers. The pregnancy test she gave him was correct; she is pregnant. Devon’s jaw drops to the ground.

Hilary blows her top when Devon reacts badly to the news. Devon tries to back peddle and digs himself deeper into a hole. She shuts him down and tells Devon off.

They can disregard the contract. Hilary does not need him in her life, and she is happy to mark “unlisted donor” on the birth certificate.

Elsewhere, Arturo is fresh and clean (but wearing the same pre-shower clothes).

He spies Abby sitting down for lunch, and hurries over to her. He begins to charm Abby’s pants off her.

Quick on her feet, Nikki immediately switches the topic to Helen. Victor happily explains why he took on a lover: It was because she did it first! Nikki is shocked.

Fortunately, before Victor has a chance to return to his question for his wife, Kyle drops by, and Nikki takes the opportunity to leave.

Kyle immediately gets to business. He wants a job at Newman, but Victor instructs him to continue infiltrating Jabot. Kyle can do whatever he needs, but leave Dina out of his schemes.

Elsewhere, Nikki and Victoria arrive back at home with Reed. On the verge of a total meltdown, Vicky is coming unhinged. She worries for Reed, but Nikki assures her daughter, they’ll help him through it.

Back at the Ranch, Kyle resists the idea, but Victor wants him to continue being his mole at Jabot.

Across town, Nikki catches Arturo and Abby toasting to their new friendship. The jealous woman dashes off.

Back at Vicky’s house, Reed demands to know the truth and Vicky confirms everything. The poor teenager is beyond stunned, but he still has hope his father will come back to Genoa City.

Heartbroken, Vicky drops a bombshell on Reed. JT is never coming back. He crumbles in her arms.
