It looks like Adam will do more harm to his family than good when he tricks Luca Santori (Miles Gaston Villanueva) into thinking he’s spilling all his family secrets to the feds. Instead of relishing in his conquest, perhaps Adam (Justin Hartley)should have shown some humility and kept his mouth shut.
On Wednesday’s episode of Young and the Restless (Y&R), Luca and Adam met with a “federal officer” (who’s really just a Newman security guard) and handed over the files that were supposedly going to put their fathers in jail. As a show of good faith, Adam went in first and handed the files over. Luca was next, and also handed some files over.
Now, here’s where things started going awry. Instead of simply walking away and letting things take their course, Adam confessed it was all just a trap. He laughed at how Luca has fallen for his seemingly ingenious trap. The Newmans now have the Santoris right where they want them!
Adam demanded Luca leave town at once, or he’d release all family secrets. Little did Adam know he just made a massive mistake. The Newmans aren’t the only ones with tricks up their sleeves–Luca knows all about Noah (Robert Adamson) and will make sure if the Santoris are exposed, Noah will go to jail for a very long time.
Today, Adam hands over those all-important files, possibly making the mistake of his life (and he’s made a lot of mistakes). Adam also knows something may be amiss as he sits and squirms in his father’s office chair as Luca looms over him with all the power in the world.
The tables turn in this high-powered family war. Both sides have dirt on the other–and both sides are willing to use it. Will Adam sacrifice Noah? Surely he knows that’s the last thing Victor would ever want to do. The Newmans want the Santoris gone, but Noah’s freedom shouldn’t be a cost they are willing to pay.
