The Abbotts gather at Jack’s (Peter Bergman) house to celebrate the holiday. Traci (Beth Maitland), Alan (Christopher Cousins), and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) are about to sit down for dinner when Diane (Susan Walters) shows up. The guests are surprised by Diane’s presence since she and Jack are separated. Worried she’ll cause a scene, Ashley offers to throw her out, but Jack says that won’t be necessary. The family doesn’t know that the couple’s breakup was a ruse, and Jack’s revelation will stun them.
