Victoria Newman Fights For Her Daughter

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, January 4, 2024, finds Victoria dedicating herself to making a connection with Claire, even as her daughter struggles to trust the mother she thought abandoned her.

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is so committed to reaching and bonding with Claire (Hayley Erin) that she stepped away from her position at Newman Enterprises. (The one her father bellowed that she wouldn’t have without him, because Victoria is such a loser.)

Hoping to be a better parent than the man who raised her, Victoria is putting Claire first. But will the confused, angry, and mentally shattered girl accept Victoria — and Cole’s (J. Eddie Peck) — efforts, or did Jordan (Colleen Zenk) do too good of a job conditioning her to hate the Newmans?

One Day at a Time

Meanwhile, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is also feeling the effects of Jordan’s revenge. She’s gone back to work, she attended an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, and she is determined not to fall off the wagon. But that’s easier said than done. The temptation is always there, and now there is trauma on top of it.

Add to all that the stress of Claire’s discovery — not to mention Adam’s (Mark Grossman) continued existence; even in the midst of personal and family drama, Nikki found the time to look disgusted when she saw him in Victor’s (Eric Braeden) office — and Nikki still has a long, rough road ahead of her.

Is There Something I Should Know?

Sharon (Sharon Case) is no fool. She can see that Summer (Allison Lanier) has feelings for Chance (Conner Floyd). But that doesn’t worry her. What does worry her is whether Chance has feelings for Summer. She might ask the question, but will she like the answer her boyfriend gives her?
