The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victor Tells Adam Everything

Published by

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, April 22, 2020, reveal exactly what happened to AJ Montalvo the night he was killed — or at least Victor’s version of what happened. It all makes sense, but Adam isn’t buying it.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers Highlights

Adam (Mark Grossman) can barely believe his ears. What is Victor (Eric Braeden) talking about? HE killed AJ. He was just a child. How could that be? Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) starts to tell Adam off but Victor stops her and asks to speak to his son alone.

That’s when he tells the whole tale of how a little boy killed a grown man. Adam insisted he couldn’t be a cold-blooded killer, but Victor told him he wasn’t. He was just a terrified child determined to protect his mother.

You see, Hope’s husband Cliff owed AJ money and AJ hired someone to run him off the road, but both drivers were drunk and killed. AJ went to jail for the scheme, but when he was released, he went straight to Hope’s because he blamed her — or at least her late husband — for what happened.

Adam: Protecting His Mother

Adam heard the pair fighting and attacked AJ, causing him to fall, hit his head, and die. Hope immediately called Victor and he hopped on the jet and flew to Kansas where he found a catatonic Adam had blocked the whole thing out.

He made sure the caretaker moved the body to the barn and convinced the coroner to fake the cause of death. A great story that might very well be true, but Adam isn’t buying it at all. If this happened, why did they bake Alyssa’s mom a pie and not go to the funeral?

Absolute Disbelief

Well, because Hope felt bad of course, so why not bake a pie? And why go to the funeral when she feared Adam would remember everything. In fact, Victor supported Hope’s decision to never tell Adam the truth. (But when push comes to shove, right Victor?)

He tells Victor he knows he couldn’t have done such a thing but Victor insists, yes, he sure did and now he can’t have the Newman CEO position anymore. This sent Adam off into more of a tantrum and he vowed he’d never give up. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
