The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, May 24 are a day of major revelations, as Victor has something for Amanda, Kyle gathers his nerve to confess to Jack, and Phyllis comes out swinging to defend Summer.
The last time Amanda (Karla Mosley) had some questions for Victor (Eric Braeden) about Newman Enterprises’ involvement with her bribing grandfather – and her murdered father – Victor offered the usual platitudes about how he has always been a saint among men, and the usual mumbled threats about how she better stop nosing around – you got that?
Something has changed his mind. Maybe he’s still riding high from all the manipulations he pulled off to free Adam (Mark Grossman) and institutionalize Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), and thinks he can keep his self-proclaimed winning streak going.
Or maybe he’s finally found the time to plan evidence that will lead Amanda in a completely different direction from where she needs to be. Either way, old Vic is suddenly very chatty on a topic he didn’t even want to hear mentioned a month ago.
Jack (Peter Bergman) asked a very reasonable question when he wanted to know why Kyle (Michael Mealor) is getting in so deep with Ashland (Richard Burgi) and Tara’s (Elizabeth Lenier) marriage problems. Is there something Jack is missing? Oh, yeah, Dad. There is something MAJOR that Jack is missing. Kyle’s eyes well up with tears. That’s usually a good sign he’s about to confess something.
On the other side of town (maybe, Genoa City geography is pretty wonky), the mother of Kyle’s fiancée goes up against the father of Kyle’s child. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) has gotten the best of Ashland twice. Will three times be the charm for her… or for him? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
