The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, July 4 reveal Independence Day in Genoa City with cause to celebrate. However, expect the unexpected as some of the festivities go off the rails. This is one-holiday episode you will not want to miss.

Oh, Happy Days!
Traci (Beth Maitland) has more than a few reasons to smile. Today is one of her favorite days of the year, but that’s not all. Her book is complete and off to the publisher.

Talk about a relief! Hopefully, this novel will be another number one best seller. Oh, but that’s not all. She has Cane (Daniel Goddard) doting on her every step of the way. (Shouldn’t thee be more than one draft?)

Her crush on Cane is growing by the minute and it’s not like he’s pushing her away. The recent divorcee seems more than open to their subtle flirting, gentle talks, and even the occasionally crossing the lines. There is just one problem — he isn’t quite over his wife.

Teasers show Traci may want to keep some of those walls up. Cane was married to the love of his life for a very long time and Traci may be nothing more than a passing fancy.

Is Lily on her way back to Genoa City again? And if so, why not just move back permanently at this point.

A Bitter Betty
Meanwhile, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) puts her ex on high alert. She is after Jack (Peter Bergman) and Jabot and will stop at nothing to take them out. She wants revenge for getting booted from the company and will hold this grudge until she gets payback.

That all seems rather odd since …continue reading on the next page —>

That all seems rather odd since she just she told Victoria plots like this aren’t worth the effort. Shouldn’t she take her own advice and stop letting Jack rent space in her head?

Phyllis also should focus more on her daughter. The scenes between the two were nice, but she shouldn’t stop comforting the girl after one night.

Jack better start doing damage control because a Phyllis scorned is a bitter rival who does not mind playing dirty. In fact, she thrives on it. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
