The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, February 27, 2020, promise a game-changing day for Devon. His nightmare is over (or so it seems) when a mysterious message comes in and makes his bank account whole again. Is this the end of this storyline or is there more to come?
The last few months were an absolute nightmare for Devon (Bryton James). His fortune was stolen by Colin (Tristan Rogers), the trusty Cane (Daniel Goddard) became a shady player, and he’s had to learn to live with Hilary’s look-alike running around town. Cane’s not coming back (sad face), Amanda (Mishael Morgan) isn’t going anywhere, but there is good news coming his way.
While sitting at the coffee house Devon gets an odd, anonymous text with some cryptic numbers. He’s sure it’s from Colin (spoiler alert: he’s right) and calls Chance (Donny Boaz) to take a look.
When they can’t figure it out they bring Kevin (Greg Rikaart) into the fold. A keystroke here, a tiny hack there, and the numbers lead them to an offshore account in Devon’s name.
In the most anti-climactic way to end this story, Kevin merely transfers the cash to a safe place and BOOM Devon is rich again. No Colin in cuffs, no Cane playing a baddie, no drama at all. Just a very quiet and boring bank transfer to fix this mess.
In an odder than odd twist, Devon doesn’t even seem very excited to get back his billions. Is he in shock? Does he think something is up? Did he get used to living life like only a mere millionaire again and …continue reading on the next page —>
In an odder than odd twist, Devon doesn’t even seem very excited to get back his billions. Is he in shock? Does he think something is up? Did he get used to living life like only a mere millionaire again and no longer cares about the state of his bank account? Can Mariah get her job back?
What Devon does do is think really hard about what to do next. Getting the cash back is a blessing and he intends to bless others in much the same way. First things first, he donates a chunk to Kevin for the kids’ college funds and then sits down to mull over everything else.
Will retrieving the funds change Devon for the worse? He’s pretty sulky for a person who just got $2.4 billion so anything is possible. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
