The Young and the Restless Spoilers Spec: Does Chelsea Have An Ultimate Plan?

Right now, The Young and the Restless spoilers look pretty horrifying for Chelsea after she suffered that stroke during brain surgery. She’s trapped in her own body, unable to speak up for herself, and seems to be at Adam’s mercy — a place few would ever want to be. But this is Chelsea, right? She should never be counted out.

That’s because at her core, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is not only a survivor but she’s also a con artist. She may try to go legit every few years but something always seems to happen that returns her to that core. And for that reason, while things look incredibly bleak for her at this moment, Soap Hub can’t help but think about how Chelsea will turn this around.

The most obvious way is that any progress she makes, she’ll keep to herself. Chelsea is not anything if not someone who likes to maintain an edge over her adversaries and keeping any improvements from Adam (Mark Grossman) could be the best way to ensure his continued devotion. He has said he plans to devote himself to her — to be her rock like she was for him.

The thing is, Adam’s not solid as a rock. He’s more like sand that slips through Chelsea’s fingers and usually ends up being held in Sharon’s (Sharon Case) palm. And chances are, as the stress of being Chelsea’s caretaker weighs down on him as it inevitably will, Adam will be his usual predictable self and seek comfort from Sharon. Sharon who can talk to him. Who can tell him how great he is.

And who wants to make a bet that as soon as Chelsea is ready to voice to Adam that she has her voice back, she’ll find him in a compromising position with her nemesis — and she will then hide her full recovery from him even longer to keep him by her side as she plots harm to Sharon?
