The Young and the Restless spoilers for August 31-September 4, 2020 reveal a (possible) shocking connection, a son putting his mother’s needs first, and so much more.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers Highlights
Amanda’s (Mishael Morgan) desire to help with a blood drive at the New Hope Clinic opens up a Pandora’s Box once it’s established that she and Hilary (also Mishael Morgan) share the same blood type.
Off that reveal, Nate (Sean Dominic) suggests that should Amanda decide to pursue the line of inquiry any further – and possibly discover a familial link to the dead talk show hostess – then she should ask Devon (Bryton James) for one of Hilary’s personal possessions in order to obtain a DNA sample.
Amanda later meets Devon at Society and she asks for his late wife’s date of birth. When pressed, Amanda admits that following her abandonment, authorities were forced to guesstimate her day of birth and they decided on July 2. Devon, in turn, reveals that Hilary’s birthday is July 1!
A stunned Amanda also reveals that she and the deceased share the same blood type and she relays the advice given to her by Nate. However, rather than outright ask Devon for something of Hilary’s, Amanda makes it clear that she will only continue in her quest if he approves her doing so. Devon, the ball is firmly in your court.
Family Reunion
Though bound for an art exhibition in San Francisco, Noah (Robert Adamson) takes the opportunity to stop in his hometown and visit with his friends and family and a recovering Sharon (Sharon Case) in particular.
Mother and son’s visit is interrupted by Adam’s (Mark Grossman) arrival and his subsequent interaction leaves her physically drained and emotionally exhausted. So while she heads upstairs for a rest, Noah escorts Adam to the door, chastises him for abusing what should be Sharon’s recovery period, and warns him against further visits. But whether or not Adam will heed the threat remains to be seen.
YR Odds and Ends
In other Genoa City news, Lola (Sasha Calle) establishes her independence, and Victor (Eric Braeden) sets out to clear the air with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) – whom spoilers have mixing business with pleasure thanks to a flirtatious encounter with Theo (Tyler Johnson).
Meanwhile, Adam continues to spiral and Victor’s risky attempt to help his son backfires spectacularly. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) reaches her limit, and after receiving a warning from Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), she completely snaps!
Finally, Chance (Danny Boaz) finds himself becoming Adam’s latest refuge, while Nick (Joshua Morrow) is forced to defend his and Phyllis’s (Michelle Stafford) reconciliation. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
