The Young and the Restless spoilers for September 21-25, 2020, tease trouble abound for the likes of Kyle and Summer, as well as Billy and Adam. Plus there’s the promise of a scandalous hook-up!
Despite a previous impromptu engagement complete with cherry-stem ring, Summer (Hunter King) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) make their status official with a dual, down-on one-knee proposal with actual engagement bands.
But the couple’s joy is short-lived. First Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and then Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) learn of the engagement and while the former manages to stifle her true opinions, the latter isn’t so magnanimous.
Just when it seemed that Alyssa (Maria DiDomenico) was willing to put the old adage “The enemy of my enemy is my most treasured friend” to the test, she mysteriously vanishes…and Billy (Jason Thompson) immediately suspects that Adam (Mark Grossman) is to blame.
A confrontation between the two men ensues and Billy reveals that he knows everything about Adam’s long-ago killing of A.J. Montalvo. Adam denies the charges, of course, but it’s clear that he is now extremely worried about Billy’s next move.
In other Genoa City news, Chance (Donny Boaz) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) discuss their future, Traci (Beth Maitland) discovers yet another clue about Dina’s (Marla Adams) past, and Lily (Christel Khalil) stands her ground with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott).
Meanwhile, with the confirmation of identity in hand, Amanda (Mishael Morgan) turns to Billy (Jason Thompson) and gets some help digging into her past. With the memories of his life with Hilary (Mishael Morgan) all stirred up, Devon (Bryton James) decides to pay tribute to his late wife – and it’s a development that doesn’t sit well with Elena (Brytni Sarpy).
Finally, an unexpected pairing turns up the heat…but just who could it be? We’ve seen Theo and Victoria flirt up a storm and the lothario has also spent an inordinate amount of time singing Amanda’s praises. Chance and Phyllis always had explosive chemistry – but surely she wouldn’t sabotage her reunion with Nick (Joshua Morrow).
Might a distraught Elena turn to Nate (Sean Dominic) in her hour of need? And then there’s always the possibility of a Sharon/Adam coupling. If her dreams are anything to go by, she certainly wouldn’t mind picking up where the two of them left off. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
